Getting Here

By festival bus

The most convenient way to get to and from the festival is by one of our regular dedicated festival buses from Cheltenham, Winchcombe, and Bishop’s Cleeve. The routes are shown below. Tickets need to be bought in advance but are valid for unlimited journeys. Well behaved dogs may travel on festival buses, provided they remain on a lead and on the floor.

Did you know: last year 900+ of our festival attendees chose to take one or more of our festival buses/coaches? We’d like to see that figure increase and we welcome any feedback on routes and timings which we will consider for future years.

Bus from Cheltenham

The Cheltenham service run throughout the festival on Friday and Saturday, approximately every 20 minutes but more frequently at peak times and less during mandatory driver breaks. The service starts at Cheltenham Portland Street and stops at Cheltenham Racecourse en route. As with last years’ service, there will be request stops at Barley Road bus gate and Prestbury High Street once the initial rush is over. A full timetable is detailed below.

Bus from Winchcombe

A continuous shuttle runs between Winchcombe and the festival throughout Friday and Saturday. The service starts at Winchcombe Library, running via Back Lane and The Hyde, and will stop at public bus stops if flagged down. On Friday the first shuttle departs Winchcombe at 17:30 and the last departs the festival at 23:40. On Saturday the first shuttle departs Winchcombe at 11:30 and the last departs the festival at 21:40.

Bus from Bishop’s Cleeve

For the first time, we’ll also be trialing a dedicated bus service from the centre of Bishop’s Cleeve on Saturday only. The service starts at Cleeve School Layby at 11:00, running via Two Hedges Road and Cheltenham Road, with the main stop at Church Road. Request stops follow at Woodmancote Newsagents and Sunset Lane (Southam). Services run approximately every 30-40 minutes, except during mandatory driver breaks. A full timetable is detailed below. Please note service breaks to avoid disappointment.
